OAKVILLE, ON: Labtician Théa today announced an innovative partnership with the e-commerce platform Sightly to help Canadian Eye Care Professionals maintain aspects of their practices in COVID-19. As patients move to online purchasing during the pandemic, Canadian Eye Care Professionals are at risk of losing the retail components of their practices and their ability to continue to enhance the eye health of their patients.
“If you have a retail component and didn’t have e-commerce before COVID-19 you absolutely have to have it now, as the potential of losing the retail component of these practices if patients move to online retailers is massive. ” Kelly Curry, Founder Patient Reminders Inc – GetSightly. “Practices that have e-commerce are better able to keep serving their patients through this crisis.”
Labtician Théa is the first company to partner with Sightly to create a mini connector so that doctors can send products directly to their patients. It keeps the comfort and convenience flow going as the patient can still order from the practitioner.
“As a Joint Venture of two family companies, we consider our customers family, and we want to do whatever we can to help Eye Care Professionals service their patients during this pandemic,” Fiona McCloskey, Country Manager Labtician Théa. “We have heard from many of our customers that they are looking for an e-Commerce solution to ensure that their patients continue to have access to their much-needed treatments while clinics are closed to non-emergent patients.”
Sightly is an eCommerce platform built exclusively for Eye Care Professionals that functions as an extension of their practice as it links directly from their clinic website, and enables them to set pricing. Patients will have access to their Labtician Théa products, as well as other products Eye Care Professionals currently provide within their clinics, such as contact lenses.
Canada’s leader in the preservative-free management of glaucoma, dry eye disease, and lid hygiene, Labtician Théa is a Joint Venture between Labtician Ophthalmics of Oakville and Laboratoires Théa, Europe’s largest family-owned ophthalmology company. The joint venture leverages the strengths of both organizations to focus exclusively on helping Canadian optometrists and ophthalmologists build their practices and enhance eye health for their patients.
